Makeup storage

Here's my current makeup storage. I bought the Acrylic containers from muji.com at Marina Square. These acrylic containers are inspired by the acrylic containers from the Kim Kardashian show. The acrylic boxes are of very good quality and surprisingly, they can fit a lot of my makeup products even though the height of each drawer is pretty low. I like how i can see all my makeup from the top rather than digging through the boxes. I switch between my products more often after i use to this storage system. It is easier for me to look through the products and pick out the ones i tend to neglect.

Of course my blushes have to be on the top as they are the most important/loved makeup item by me.

The face products are placed on the top so i can easily reach out for them.

Check out what's behind the lippies. OMG, i still can't get over how great the NAKED palette is. Sometimes, i will just take it out and admire it before putting it back. hahas.

Here's all the blushes I currently have. Can you guess which are my favorites? :)

High Tea

after Caibei went for the lunch at Equinox@Swiss Hotel, we decided to try the high tea
the high tea starts at 330pm and ends at 5pm, costing about $50 each
the variety of food was not as wide as the lunch buffet
overall, given the short limited time and the lesser food choices, the high tea is not really worth going for

My virgin M.A.C purchase

I finally caved in and headed down to Raffles City MAC counter to make my first MAC purchase! & the honor goes to the MAC beauty powder in Play it proper. This limited edition beauty powder was released in the CHENMAN Love and Water collection. I was searching for a new highlighter and thought this might be a good alternative to a classic shimmery highlighter.

The powder looks pink but it actually swatches very lightly. It looks more like a cool tone off-white colour when swatched. You cannot see any significant glimmer particles when you swatch it and it leaves a very pretty sheen. I really like this product because it is not too shimmery and very suitable for everyday wear.

Here's a swatch of it on my hand. I think it is suitable for any skin tone. I only use it on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and under my chin. I think it will be nice to lightly dust it across your face for a dewy look.

It costs 40SGD which is reasonably priced for a MAC product and it's cheaper than a regular MSF. If you're looking for an alternative to a MSF, this would be a good option.

Equinox Restaurant

My parents and I visited Equinox Restaurant at Swisshotel today. We picked the 70th level cause we heard the view there is magnificent! True to the words, the view was spectacular even though it was in the afternoon.

Overall, the service and food was great! The price was pretty steep though. About 70++ per person. However, i think the buffet was reasonably priced as the there was a wide variety of food. (From sashimi to really fresh seafood) I really recommend trying the crab, sushi and mussels! The desserts are divine~ & my fave was the choc fondue! The chocolate was thick and creamy and there was a wide variety of fruits, biscuits etc to choose from.

It is good to make a reservation so that you can request for a window seat. You do not have to pay extra for window seat on the weekdays but you will have to for the weekends and dinner (i think).
