Review: Neutrogena Deep Cleansing Revitalising Pink Grapefruit Ultra foam cleanser and Vaseline UV whitening body lotion

Review:

Recently, i tried out the

1) Neutrogena Deep Clean Revitalising Pink Grapefruit Ultra Foam Cleanser

2) Vaseline UV Whitening Body Lotion

With the kind sponsorship of Cozycot

Let's move on to the first product- The Neutrogena Cleanser

It's hypo-allergenic which is great for people with sensitive skin like me. :) At first, i was kind of skeptical as it has a very distinctive grape fruit smell when you dispense the product. However, I was hugely surprised that the smell did not linger after I washed it off my face and the foam did not dry out my skin. I hate the tight feeling on the skin some cleansers give after washing. :8

The foam is quite dense which is a good thing as it means it is able to deep cleanse any dirt and impurities off your face.

Overall, it is a good product and if you're looking for a new cleanser, do try it!:)
Pros:
Great scent- Pink grapefruit
Cleanses well
Foams up well
Suitable for sensitive skin as well

Cons:
Not enough to remove make-up
Not suitable for people who hate scented products

Secondly, I also tried the Vaseline UV whitening body lotion.

It has a noticeable floral scent(I think) but the smell does not linger after application. I do like this body lotion as it is rather lightweight and it does not have the sticky feeling which i hate. It is quite moisturising as well. However, i do not see a noticeable lightening of my skin as what the lotion claimed. Perhaps i have not been using it long enough and then again, i'm pretty fair already. Will continue to test it out. :)

Overall, it's a good body lotion for anyone who does not like sticky body lotion like me! :)
Pros:
Very watery- Easy to spread
Lightweight
Non-sticky
Moisturising

Cons:
A floral scent (Some people might not like it)
Have not seen results with the lightening aspect

The little prince

Met up with a friend for lunch today. As we were talking, it made me realised how many years we have lost contact and it was great to finally sit down and have lunch together.

Made me thought of this quote from my favourite book.

“I am looking for friends. What does that mean -- tame?"

"It is an act too often neglected," said the fox. "It means to establish ties."

"To establish ties?"

"Just that," said the fox. "To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world....”

princefox

It used to be my favourite quote and I still remind myself of that constantly. :)
I even bought a hardcopy of the book. LOLs. Highly reccommended :)

Review: Nars Madly

Yesterday, i mentioned that i bought a new NARS blush which is called Madly. Recently, I've really been interested in the all nude look as I think it looks very pretty, not too feminine and has an edge to it. I read some online reviews that NARS Madly is a very natural looking blush and one of the most understated blush among all the NARS Blush. I have also put off getting this blush as i was worried it might turn out ashy/dirty on my skintone but I finally caved in & what the heck... bought it. Hahas

Here's a rather true colour of the blush below.
 IMG_0662

Quoted from the Sephora website, NARS madly is described as seashell pink which i do have to agree. It is very pigmented yet subtle on the cheeks. If you are very fair like me, you may even use it to contour. It turns out true to colour as well. :)

Here's a heavy swatch of the colour on my hand.As you can see, it is a rather pigmented blush as i only needed to swipe it once for the colour to show.

The great thing i love about NARS blushes are their lasting power on the cheeks, as well as the pigmentations on the face. I hate it when blushes do not show up true to colour on the cheeks (which happens most of the times for me :( )

From left: NARS madly, NARS Luster, NARS Doucer

As many might question if Madly will be very similar to NARS Luster, the answer is no. As you can see from the picture, Luster is more shimmery and has more gold flakes inside. However both are good to give you a natural look. :)

Anyws, i will do an up-close review on my 4 NARS blushes very soon. (When i find the time to do it. ) LOLS.

Ps. I am soooo in love with the Madly, totally worth the investment if u are seeking au natural look like me. :)

*Updated* With me wearing the blush! Oops! Just bathed and my hair is not dry. :/

Sephora Haul!

My haul from Sephora came in! Though i did not purchase much this time. :)

IMG_0656 IMG_0654

Whee! Bought the LE large bottle of the Purity made simple cleanser. This can last me up to a year & my mum is addicted to it as well!

Does a great job in removing my makeup (excluding waterproof mascara) and mild enough to be used twice a day. The great thing is it works great for my sensitive skin! Highly recommended!:D

From the left: Madly from NARS, Naked Rose from Illamasqua

I also ordered 2 more blushes from Sephora. I love NARS blushes so I'm always tempted to order 1 whenever i share orders with Kelly. && The newest to my collection is Madly! Super excited to try it and from 1st glance, the colour looks exactly what i hoped for! Loves!

This is my first time ordering from the brand  Illamasqua and I decided to start with a blush from their new collection which is called Naked Rose. Very excited to try it as well!

Swatches will be up soon!:D Hopefully tomorrow after I try out the colours!:)

Best korean food in SG?

Met up with Kelly for dinner today! My haul came in so she had to pass the stuff for me. Eggcited! :)
Brought her to my newly found hidden treasure at Orchard.

The korean food is AWESOME! & cheap! Totally authentic korean food sold by koreans themselves!
Loves loves, gonna be visiting there more often now!

OOTD #1

Attending my cousin's wedding yesterday at Grand park Hotel. :)
Here's a make-up look of the day. Pardon the bad angle, still playing around with Canon SX320 HS camera! Gosh dint know how the make-up gurus does it. :o

IMG_0618 IMG_0619 IMG_0628 IMG_0626

Make-up Used

ZA True White liquid plus foundation
Laura Mercier mineral powder
Too faced natural palette
Heroine mascara/ liquid eyeliner
NARS doucer blush
Revlon Lipbutter- Tutti Fruiti (Current love!)

Realised my ZA liquid foundation doesn't photograph very well under flash. It's still a pretty decent foundation, I wouldn't recommend it to people with oily skin though. Ps. You will look like a shine bomb after 4-5 hours of wear. :o

A simple act of kindness

Today has been such a wreck for me. Left the house at 7am and only reached home at 1am past midnight. & so i had to run to catch the last train and i knew that most likely i will miss the last bus. I did miss my last bus BUT i thought of taking an alternative bus route. Turns out i stupidly boarded the wrong bus and was left stranded at the the bus stop. Past midnight with no umbrella to go home and not a vehicle in sight, all i could do was to curse out load for what a horrible day i had. && The worst thing was i realised i had no money with me :o

On top of all these shit i'm facing right now, i still can't believe what a nice deed an uncle did for me.

After being stranded at the bus stop for 15 mins, a taxi finally drove pass and stopped for me. I apologise to the uncle saying that i had no cash with me and offered to pay by nets instead. The uncle realised that my house was just across the street and he kindly drove me over, charging me whatever was left in my wallet (there was only small change).

Such a nice gesture from a taxi uncle and this really made my day. :)

To be honest, i was really nervous, yet excited about it. The photos are not fantastic but hey! I tried my best ^^ Learnt some new stuff regarding the timings and stuff and i'm glad to have a good group of friends to help me!

Special thanks to Kelly for doing the makeup and Bianche(model) for helping out as well! :)
