Review + Haul: Shiseido Haul!

Made my way to Shiseido's head quarters for the Shiseido's Sale 2012 yesterday! Picked up some loots there:D Everyone were heading for the foundations and serums but i wasn't too keen on getting another powder foundation so I skipped out on that. The stuff were crazily discounted, about 50% off? Glad that i saw some stuff that i liked. Picked up a new bronzer and cream eyeshadow:)

Shiseido Oil Free Bronzer && Maquillage Dual Glow Eyes OR274

IMG_0911 IMG_0912 IMG_0915 IMG_0916

The Shiseido Oil free bronzer is a very nice bronzer that does not turn out orange/red which some bronzers might do. The powder is very finely milled and it comes with 3 shades. I got the lightest shade of course! for 18 bucks which is a steal. Been looking for a new bronzer for awhile. It's fairly light so i don't have to worry about over applying it. It works pretty nicely as a contour shade as well. :) The only downside is that the packaging a little bulky. Wouldn't be a nice thing to travel with but the brush it comes with is quite nice. I don't usually use the brush that comes with the compact though. :/

Overall, it's quite a nice product! Esp for fair skin people. The darkest shade is very dark so i guess that there will be a shade for every skin tone:)

Next will be the Maquillage Dual Glow Eyes OR274. Isn't the packaging gorgeous?!:D

The top actually twists open and there is an applicator inside it! So cute! I wasn't expecting that. LOL

This is a dual toned cream eyeshadow which is very easy to blend. It does not crease and the colours wear very well without a primer. For any girls who like a no hassle and natural look, this product is perfect for you! :) I think it blends better than the Maybelline eye studio cream shadows and the colours are pigmented as well. As you can see from the swatches, the champagne colour is not that pigmented which is a downside but the glitter particles do not transfer to my cheeks. & it does give a very pretty sheen to the eyes. The darker colour is a very pretty rosy bronze colour which is super pretty and pigmented. I love the way these colours wear on my lids. Highly recommended if you see a duo that you like! I bought it at 15 SGD which is insanely discounted. Glad i picked it up!

This product comes in 5 other shades. :) Gosh, should have picked up the other colours as well :O

Night out at Shuffle + Home alone!

Just wanted to share my recent look when I went to Shuffle Bistro Bar to meet up with a friend.
I even put on fake lashes! Really like this pair from Red Cherry Lashes. It's no heavy at all, hence it does not weigh down my lashes. It looked really natural and give just enough volume to the eye lashes. Do try out Red   Cherry Lashes if you are looking for a cheap alternative to Ardell. :)

I got mine at Smoochiezz.com

I even tried to create some natural curls by testing out a new hair product i recently got from Watsons. It's Marc Anthony Beach waves spray. The waves do stay on for the whole night and the product does not weigh my hair down. Quite like the product. :) Will do another review some other time. After i try it out more!:)

Anyws, the make-up i used were:
Laura Mercier Radiance Primer
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser
Laura Mercier Mineral Foundation (To set the make up)
Eyes: Naked palette (Buck, hustle, sin)
Clio liquid eyeliner in brown
Cheeks: Illamasqua Naked Rose
Lips: Revlon Soft nude

*Another update:*
My parents are currently on Holiday, hence my bro and i are home alone for 2 weeks! Hate it when they weren't here. We'll get sick of outside food in a week. So, I decided to cook Aglio Olio for the both of us. I think it's quite a good attempt for the first try :P Only that it was a little bland. :/

If anyone has any ideas on how to add more flavour to the pasta, please teach me! :O

I will try cooking something else next week! Need to learn to cook before i go off for my exchange next year! hehs

NOTD

I've been so busy recently! School work are piling up. Can't wait for week 15 to arrive && then I can look forward to my exchange!

In the meantime, it's the rain season in Singapore recently. :/ I'm starting to wear more 'fall' nail colours as well. Sad that Singapore does not have 4 seasons but we can still follow the trends by changing up our nail colours right? :)

I really like China glaze polishes. This wears surprisingly well on my nails, only stated chipping after a week!
Loving the taupes and purples during this time of the year!:D

Review: NARS Blush Luster

Gonna do my NARS Luster review today! :)
NARS Blush Luster is one of the first NARS blush I bought, along with NARS Sin.

It is a very pretty apricot blush with shimmer. It's highly pigmented and the shimmer are very fine as well. I love this blush!

Some may question that it looks very similar to the NARS Madly.

Swatch left: NARS Luster, NARS Madly

NARS Madly is more brown and has silver shimmer while NARS Luster is more peachy and has gold shimmer. Madly also shows up more like a contour shade compared to Luster.

Luster is highly pigmented and it shows up well on my skin. Like all NARS blushes, Luster last the whole day on my skin without fading. It does not oxidise on me as well which is an important factor i look out for. I like this blush on my lazy days as this blush also gives a very pretty sheen on the skin so i can just skip my highlighter. It can highlight your cheekbones without being too obvious.

Highly recommended, I have to say this is a very underrated blush in NARS. Love it!

1st Open Water Diving trip to Tioman!

IT'S RECESS WEEK!!! My friends and i decided to sign up for the school's basic diving trip to Tioman which happened last Friday. OMGosh, it was such.an exhilarating experience. First of all, i'm scared of the water so i dunno what came over my mind to sign up for this thing. I COULD HAVE DIED. But i dint. :)

Anyws, i thought i will be able to make it for the actual trip and i had a very bad panic attack during the swim test at the pool session. I could not breathe properly and I couldn't even swim well! Luckily, the dive master was kind enough to let me take my time to SLOWLY swim the 8 laps and i eventually finished the test. Felt like eternity though. :(

I had a few more panic attacks during the diving part but it was not as bad as the swim test. lols.
Had a few nightmares before the trip but I still went ahead with it. LOLS.

Off we go~

Special thanks to our dive instructor: Emma and dive master: Karen!

YAY! We are certified open water divers now! :D Super excited. I'm glad i went on this trip and met loads of awesome people! At first i was terrified, especially the part where we had to jump into the water. During my first dive, i told the dive master ,who was helping get into the water, "I'm really scared" LOL but i still jump in the end and it got kinda addictive. HAHAS

Diving is truly a wonderful experience. Glad that my friends asked me along! Wheee~

Review: Illamasqua blush in Naked Rose

Recently, I bought a new blush online and this is my 1st time purchasing an illamasqua blush. I have to say, I quite like the texture of it! :)

This is illamasqua blush in Naked Rose (On the left), on comparison with NARS Madly.

IMG_0659 IMG_0660

Here's a close-up of it. It is a rather cool toned pink. Slightly lighter than The Balm's Cool Boy.At first, i was a little hesitant to buy it as pink blushes does not look good on me. It always turn out a little red on my cheeks no matter how well it swatches on my hand. This blush is a very subtle kind of blush, it does look pink on my cheeks which i like. I thought it looked really pretty paired with Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Dollface (which btw, turns red on me )

IMG_0668
Here's a swatch of it on my hand, next to NARS Madly. :)
The texture is matte but not chalky. Even though it is such a natural looking blush, it's highly pigmented and WILL show up on your skin. :)

I really do like this blush and it last the whole day on my face (~ 6-8hrs) The colour does not oxidise throughout the day as well.

IMG_0680

My FOTD. I took the photo at the end of the day. The blush still shows up quite well. & it's great for everyday wear. I think it will go with any look, as it is so subtle. Love it! :) Highly recommended!

NOTD

NOTD:

Fall trends are kidding and i'm loving the maroon/burgundy colour! LOVES. This is OPI Can you Tapas this? From the 2009 fall collection. Still one of my favourite nail colours!:D Applies well with only 2 coats. That's the thing i like about OPI nail polishes, apply well and dry fast!:)))
